MagicCarpet RGB Rock Lights & Underglow Kit for Jeeps & Trucks
Description
A truck underglow kit that earned its place under an off-road rig — and that actually fits it. We mapped these underbodies and built a kit for each one, so you're not measuring your own frame rails or hoping a "universal" four-piece set reaches.
A dual-row 5050 array firing at two angles lays down one seamless carpet of light — no hot spots, no dark gaps, no visible diodes. Every section is wrapped in 2.5mm of extruded aluminum and filled with solid clear resin, so rocks, vibration, mud and water crossings don't end the show.
Sections chain together with sealed connectors, and the aluminum channel is rigid enough to screw straight to the frame — screws and straps both included, so you decide whether to drill. 256 dynamic modes, app and remote control, a built-in mic for real music sync, and a 7-core harness that wires into your brake, turn, reverse and accessory circuits.

Fitment & Mounting
Pick the kit that matches your platform — each one ships with the section count and lengths that layout needs. Sections mount to the front, rear and rocker frame rails.
Because the housing is a rigid 2.5mm aluminum channel, you can drive a self-tapping screw straight through it for a permanent mount — or strap it on with the included heavy-duty ties if you'd rather not put a hole in your rig. Both are in the box.
Plan roughly 30cm (12") between sections on each side for the chain leads to route cleanly.
Buying individual sections? The same rules apply — roughly 30cm between sections, and every section SKU is a matched left/right pair.

This page covers how we ship — processing, addresses, warehouses and customs. For what shipping costs and how long it takes to your country, see the rate tables.
View Shipping Rates & Delivery Times
Free Shipping
Standard shipping is free, with no minimum order, to:
- The contiguous 48 US states and Washington DC
- Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom
Alaska, Hawaii and US territories are served by different carrier networks and are charged by weight at checkout. All other countries are charged by weight as well. Expedited and express services are always paid, including in the free-shipping regions above.
Full rates and delivery estimates for every region are on the Shipping Fee page.
Processing Time
Orders placed before 2:00 PM PT on a business day are typically packed and handed to the carrier within 2 business days. Orders placed on weekends or US public holidays begin processing the next business day.
Processing time is already included in the delivery estimates on the Shipping Fee page. Those ranges run from the day you place your order, not the day it ships — you don't need to add anything to them.
Occasionally an order needs an extra 1–2 business days before it can go out — for example when stock has to move between warehouses, when we miss a carrier's pickup cut-off, or during peak season. If your order hasn't shipped yet and you'd like an update, email us and we'll check on it.
You'll receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships.
Shipping Address
Please enter your address in English, and double-check the postal code and phone number before you place the order. Our carriers require a valid phone number for international and expedited shipments.
We cannot deliver to: PO boxes, or APO / FPO / DPO military addresses. Orders to these addresses will be held and refunded.
If an address is incomplete and we can't reach you, your order is held until we hear back. Orders returned to us as undeliverable can be refunded less the outbound shipping cost, or reshipped once you provide a corrected address.
Need to change your address? Email us as soon as you can. We can update it any time before your order ships — but most orders ship within 2 business days, so that window is short. Once a tracking number has been issued, the address is locked with the carrier and we can no longer change it.
Items Out of Stock
If something in your order is out of stock, we'll contact you before shipping. You can choose to receive the in-stock items now and the rest when it arrives, swap the item, or cancel that line for a refund — whichever you prefer.
Pre-Order Items
Some products are offered as pre-orders before stock lands. For these, the processing and delivery times above do not apply.
- The shipping date is the one stated on the product page. That date is specific to the item and takes precedence over any estimate elsewhere on this site.
- If that date moves, we'll email you with the new one, so you're never left guessing.
- You can cancel any time before it ships, for a full refund. No reason needed and no fee — as long as the pre-order hasn't left our warehouse, just email us and we'll refund you in full.
Once a pre-order ships it's treated like any other order, and our standard Returns & Exchanges applies.
Custom & Made-to-Order Items
Custom and made-to-order products are not covered by the shipping and delivery times on this page. Production time is confirmed with you per order before we begin. If you're not sure whether an item is made to order, email us before you buy.
Where We Ship From
We ship from regional warehouses rather than one central location. When an item is already in stock near you it ships from there; anything else ships from overseas.
Your order is routed automatically based on where the items are held and where they're going. We're not able to ship from a warehouse of your choosing.
Duties & Import Taxes
Prices shown at checkout do not include duties, import taxes or customs fees unless stated otherwise for your country. Any charges levied by your local customs authority are the responsibility of the recipient and are collected by the carrier on delivery.
Duty and tax rules vary by country, by product and by order value, and they change. Novsight does not collect customs fees — we have no control over what your customs authority charges.
If you're unsure what applies to you, check with your local customs office before ordering.
Tracking
You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. International tracking can take 2–3 business days to begin updating after handover to the carrier — this is normal and does not mean the parcel is lost.

Ⅱ. Detailed Scope of Warranty Coverage For All Products
1. For All Products
NOVSIGHT warrants that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period specified in the table, subject to exceptions, limitations, and regulations. For approved warranty claims, NOVSIGHT will replace defective products with the same product or a comparable product (if the original product is discontinued).
If you have any questions about a product, we will work with you to diagnose the issue, which may require you to answer questions or assist with diagnostics. If NOVSIGHT determines that your product has a defect in materials or workmanship, we will provide free replacement, refund, or other services.
U.S. Customers: All initial shipping costs are covered by NOVSIGHT. In most cases, you will receive a return label to ship the product back. NOVSIGHT provides one free return label per order. You may use the free return label to return any number of items from the order in a single package. For additional returns of non-warranty issues from the same order, you will be responsible for return shipping costs.
International Customers: For warranty orders over $200, the defective product must be returned before a replacement is shipped. NOVSIGHT will cover the shipping cost of the replacement product. For warranty orders under $200, replacements will be shipped immediately, and you will be responsible for the shipping cost of the replacement.
2. Exceptions, Limitations, and Regulations
Terms: Warranty terms, policies, and limitations are subject to change without prior notice.
Proof of Purchase: Proof of purchase is required for any warranty claim.
Transferability: Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. If the product was purchased as a gift, the recipient may still claim warranty service within 90 days of the original purchase date by registering the product, even without the purchase receipt.
Timing: All warranty periods are calculated based on the number of days from the original purchase date (from NOVSIGHT or an authorized dealer) to the date the warranty claim is submitted to NOVSIGHT.
Usage: When products are used in any commercial or industrial environment, any products that would otherwise qualify for extended warranties will only qualify for the basic limited warranty, including all associated terms and exclusions. This includes, but is not limited to, construction, mining, manufacturing, forestry, aviation, fleet vehicles, and agriculture.
Surface Finishes: Many NOVSIGHT products have surface treatments, including painting, powder coating, anodizing, UV coating, etc. While durable, these coatings are not designed to be permanent and will wear over time. To extend their lifespan, we recommend protecting products from UV exposure, cleaning them regularly with a mild detergent, and avoiding abrasive or damaging contact. Wear from normal use is not covered under warranty. If coating damage occurs within the product’s basic warranty period and is determined to be due to a manufacturing defect, it will be covered for repair or replacement. Surface finish issues for any other reason are not covered by other warranty terms.
Condensation: Some NOVSIGHT products contain sealed air. High-power LEDs generate significant heat, causing air to expand and contract as the bulb heats and cools. To prevent damage to the bulb seal, we use pressure-equalizing vents where possible, but this may occasionally allow moisture to enter, especially in high-humidity environments. In some cases, condensation may form due to the outer lens being significantly cooler than other parts of the bulb. This condensation is normal and not covered under warranty. You may eliminate condensation by allowing the bulb to fully warm up or reducing external humidity. If moisture accumulation exceeds simple condensation, it may indicate a sealing issue, and NOVSIGHT will determine warranty coverage at its discretion. For moisture-related warranty claims, we recommend including photos showing the extent of moisture accumulation.
Components: If a single component is defective, NOVSIGHT may replace only the component necessary to restore functionality.
Installation & Labor: NOVSIGHT warranties cover the product itself only. NOVSIGHT does not provide any warranty, compensation, or coverage for installation labor costs or time required to replace a warranted product. We strongly recommend customers contact us before seeking external assistance to diagnose any product issues.
All express or implied warranties are void if our warranty claims department determines there is sufficient evidence of one or more of the following:
• Damage caused by improper installation, unauthorized repairs, misuse, abuse, negligence, missing parts, and/or modifications.
• Accidental damage or collision.
• Damage caused by exposure to chemical contaminants or corrosives.
• Product loss or damage due to natural disasters.
• Products without original proof of purchase.
• Apparel items (e.g., stickers, hats, shirts, hoodies) and promotional items (e.g., phone mounts).
• Product modification or repair (see below).
• Purchase from unauthorized dealers (purchasing through any unauthorized entity; contact NOVSIGHT before purchase to confirm a seller’s authorization).
Product Modification
We understand customers may modify certain products during installation or use to meet specific needs. However, opening, disassembling, cutting wires, attempting repairs, or modifying any product in a manner not specified by NOVSIGHT will void the product warranty, except in the following cases.
If you need to modify wiring, electrical components, or connectors, our staff will assist to the best of our ability, but we are trained to support issues arising during standard use without modifications. Please strictly follow product instructions and installation guides; do not modify products.

MagicCarpet Series
Looks Like Magic.
Built Like Armor.
Most underglow is a light show that dies on the first rock. This one throws a seamless carpet of light under your rig — and then survives the trail you drove it on.
- Dual-row 5050
- 256 dynamic modes
- Built-in music mic
- 2.5mm armor · IP68
Why It Looks Different
Two Rows. Two Angles.
One Seamless Carpet.
Everyone else runs pods, or a single row of 5050s firing straight down. You get a bright stripe and a dark gap — you see the diodes, not the light. We run two rows at two different beam angles: one narrow row drives brightness straight down, one wide row washes the whole underbody. Twice the output, edge to edge, and not a single visible dot.
The tighter angle puts peak intensity right under the rocker, where a single-row strip has to spend all its output.
The second row fires wide and washes past the body line, filling the dark band a single angle always leaves.
Double the diodes in one channel and two beams that overlap. Even coverage, no hot spots, and no dotted line of visible diodes.
- High-density 5050
- Dual-row array
- 2× typical brightness
Stripes & Shadows
- One beam angle → bright band under the rail, dark gap outboard
- Visible diode dots along the strip
One Even Carpet
- Two angles overlap → continuous coverage past the body line
- Diffused glow, no visible diodes
Why It Survives
2.5mm of Aluminum.
Then Solid Resin.
The reason cheap underglow dies isn't the LEDs — it's everything around them. Typical kits use a 1mm shell with a thin skin of potting on top. One rock and you're done. We extrude the channel at 2.5mm, then fill it all the way through with clear resin. Scrape a layer off and there's still a layer under it.
Extruded aluminum wall thickness — to scale. Thinnest point on our profile is still 1.5mm.
- Rock & debris strikes
- Vibration
- Mud & sand
- Water crossings
2.5mm extruded aluminum wraps the whole strip. It also acts as the heatsink — cooler diodes last longer.
Clear resin fills the channel end to end. No air pocket for water to sit in, nothing loose to rattle apart on washboard.
Fully waterproof to IP68 — water, dust, mud, sand and winter road salt. Rated for submersion, not just splashes.
The Part Everyone Else Gets Wrong
We Already Measured
Your Rig.
Here's the real reason people don't buy underglow: they have no idea whether it'll fit. So the whole category ships one "universal" four-piece set and leaves you to figure it out — measuring frame rails in your driveway, ending up short on one side or with a strip you can't use. We went the other way. We mapped these underbodies and built a kit for each one. Pick your platform; the math is already done.
Off-Road
Wrangler JL · JLU · Gladiator JT
+ mid-size trucks with uneven underbodies
Mid-Size
Tacoma · Ranger · Colorado · Bronco
(flatter underbodies)
Full-Size
F-150 · Silverado · RAM · Tundra
Sections ship as matched left/right pairs, so both sides of your rig are always covered. Every kit ships with the 6A control box, end caps, remote — and both self-tapping screws and heavy-duty straps, so you mount it your way. A typical "universal" set gives you one fixed length and hopes it reaches.
Not Four Strips in a Box
A System That Chains Together.
Each module carries a sealed 15cm pigtail at both ends — male one side, female the other. Modules chain down the rail and a sealed end cap closes the run. Unusual layout? 2-meter extension leads are available separately to jump a long gap. One 6A control box feeds both sides through its own 3-meter leads. No cutting, no splicing, no electrical tape holding your wiring together.
Part 01
Light Modules
11" / 17" / 27". Sealed 15cm leads at both ends, male and female — they daisy-chain in either direction.
Part 02 · optional
2m Extension Leads
6.5ft jumpers for unusual layouts that need to span a long gap. Sold separately — kits don't need them.
Part 03
End Caps
Seal the last connector on each run. No open contacts under a truck that lives in mud and salt.
Part 04 · The Brain
6A Control Box Required
Every setup needs exactly one. Two 3-meter leads out to the left and right runs, one 2-meter power lead in — a single box runs the whole underbody, one section or ten.
- Sealed chain connectors
- 15cm leads both ends
- ~30cm module spacing
- Add sections anytime
Run the Show
256 Modes.
Its Own Microphone.
Chase, flow, fade, breathe — 256 dynamic modes and 10 presets, driven by app control from your phone or by the RF remote. Switch to Music Mode and the carpet moves with the sound. Most kits can only listen through your phone's mic; our control box has its own mic built in, so it picks up the music where the party actually is.
- Chase / Flow / Fade / Breathe
- 256 modes · 10 presets
- App (Bluetooth) + RF remote
- Built-in mic
Wired In, Not Stuck On
It Knows What Your Rig Is Doing.
The 7-core harness taps your brake, turn, reverse and accessory circuits. Hit the brakes and the carpet answers. Signal a turn and that side runs a marker. Back up and the ground behind you lights. Don't want one of those four? Leave that wire unconnected — everything else still works.
Left Turn Black
Driver side runs a directional marker in sync with your signal.
Brake Red
The whole carpet flashes when you're on the pedal — hard to miss from behind.
Right Turn Yellow
Passenger side does the same — you're readable in a dust cloud.
Reverse White
Lights the ground behind the rig while you back into a spot or onto a trailer.
Accessory Brown Required
The kit's power gate. Wire it to an accessory circuit — the one that wakes at the first click of the key, same as your radio — and the lights work whenever the key is at ACC or ON, engine running or not. Pull the key and everything goes fully dead, so nothing drains your battery overnight. Want them available at all times instead? Wire it to constant 12V and accept the standby draw.
Power In
Green (+) Blue (−)
2m 0.7mm² lead from the control box.
Beyond the Show
It Earns Its Keep After Dark.
Show cars park. Rigs work. Once you've got nine feet of light pointed at the ground, it stops being decoration.
See Your Lines
Doubles as rock lights for your rig — watch your tires, your suspension travel and the rocks you're about to place them on: the ground your headlights can't reach.
Camp Light
Soft, wide, glare-free ground light for cooking, gear sorting and hanging out — without blinding everyone like a light bar does. Runs with the key at ACC, engine off; for a long night out, idle it or run an auxiliary battery.
Water & Mud
Read the water line and the ruts before you commit. IP68 means the lights don't care how deep it got.
- Night trails
- Camp & overland
- Trail-side repairs
- Parked at the meet
Straight Talk
Know Before You Glow.
Underglow laws vary by state. Most states restrict red and blue light visible from the front or rear on public roads — those colors are reserved for emergency vehicles — and several restrict flashing or chasing patterns while you're moving. Off-road, on private land and while parked, run whatever you like. Check your state's vehicle code before you drive lit. We'd rather tell you here than have you hear it from a trooper.
Parked & Off-Road
Full 256 modes, any color, any pattern. This is what the kit is built for.
Driving on Public Roads
Stick to steady, non-emergency colors and skip the chase patterns. Check your local code.
Signal Functions
Brake, turn and reverse sync wire into your factory circuits — these are the functions most likely to be regulated. Verify locally before wiring them in.

FAQ
Questions.
Which kit do I need?
Pick by platform. Off-Road Kit — Jeep Wrangler JL, JLU, Gladiator JT, and mid-size trucks whose underbodies are broken up by skid plates or exhaust routing. Mid-Size Kit — Tacoma, Ranger, Colorado, Bronco with flatter rockers. Full-Size Kit — F-150, Silverado, RAM, Tundra. Each ships with the exact section count and lengths that layout needs, so there's nothing to measure and nothing left over. Not sure how flat your rocker is? Look for a clear run of about 27" behind the front wheel — if you have it, take the Mid-Size Kit; if a skid plate or exhaust breaks it up, take the Off-Road Kit.
Rock lights or underglow — what's the difference?
Traditionally, rock lights are pods mounted inside the wheel wells to light the ground and the rocks you're crawling over, while underglow is a strip under the body, mostly for looks. This kit does both jobs — and it's built as sections, not pods. Pods are point sources: each one throws a bright spot with a dark gap beside it, which is why an eight-pod kit still leaves most of your rocker in shadow. A 17" or 27" section lights that whole run evenly, so you get one continuous carpet instead of a dotted line. Same mounting points, same 12V feed, far more usable light on the ground.
My rig isn't on the list. Now what?
Two options. Most vehicles fall into one of the three layouts even when the badge isn't listed — as a rule of thumb, a clear run of about 27" behind the front wheel means the Mid-Size Kit works, and if a skid plate or exhaust breaks that run up, the Off-Road Kit is the one. Or build it yourself: every length, the control box and the 2m extension leads are sold separately, so you can lay out a van, a buggy or a trailer exactly how you want. Light sections ship as matched L/R pairs, so ordering one covers both sides. Message us with your year, make and model if you'd rather we work it out for you.
Does one module mean one strip or two?
Two. Every module SKU ships as a matched pair — one left-handed section and one right-handed section, with the pigtail leads exiting the correct way for each side of your rig. So ordering one 17" module gets you two 17" sections, enough to do both sides. That's why our part numbers end in "LR" — Left / Right. The control box and the extension leads are the exception: those are sold individually.
Do I need the control box?
Yes — always. The control box (A500-UGL-CB-6A) is the brain of the system: it powers the modules, runs all 256 modes, and connects the app, remote and signal wires. The lights won't turn on without it. Every ready-made kit already includes one, so you're covered. If you're building your own layout from individual modules, add exactly one control box to your cart — a single 6A box drives an entire underbody, whether that's one section or ten.
Is underglow legal where I drive?
It depends on your state. Red and blue light visible from the front or rear is restricted almost everywhere on public roads, and some states restrict flashing patterns while in motion. Parked, on private property and off-road, you're generally free to run any color or mode. Check your state's vehicle code — we can't give legal advice for where you live.
Do I have to drill?
Only if you want to. Every kit ships with both self-tapping screws and heavy-duty straps. The housing is a rigid 2.5mm aluminum channel, so a screw through it gives you a permanent, rattle-free mount — that's the setup we'd run on a dedicated trail rig. Prefer not to put a hole in your frame? Strap them on instead; the channel is stiff enough that it won't sag or spin the way a flexible strip does. Plenty of people screw the long rocker runs and strap the corners.
What if a rock hits a module?
That's what the 2.5mm aluminum channel and full-depth resin are for. The housing takes the strike and the solid potting means there's no hollow space for the impact to reach the board through. If a module does fail, you replace that one section — not the whole kit; all three lengths are sold separately.
Does music sync need my phone running?
No. You pick the mode once in the app or on the remote, then the control box's own microphone listens to the sound around it. You can also use your phone's mic if you'd rather. Either way, the lights react to actual sound, not to a preset pattern.
Can I run it with the engine off?
Yes — the kit powers up with the key at ACC, so the engine doesn't have to be turning. The system runs on 11–14V and is happiest at 12.5V, which is what your charging system delivers with the engine running. Parked with the engine off, a healthy battery starts around 12.6V and falls as you draw from it, so short stretches at camp are fine. A long night on battery alone will dim the output and eventually drop below the operating range — for extended use, idle the engine or run an auxiliary battery. Pull the key and the kit goes fully dead, so it never drains the battery overnight.
What if one section gets damaged?
You replace that section, not the kit. Modules chain together with sealed connectors, so a damaged one unplugs and a new one drops in without disturbing the rest of the run — that's the advantage of a chained system over a single bonded strip. Replacement sections are sold on their own in all three lengths, so you buy the one you need — not another kit. If you're adding sections rather than replacing one, keep each side under 72W — a 6A box handles up to 9 × 11", 5 × 17" or 3 × 27" sections per side.
What's the 30cm spacing about?
Each module has a 15cm lead at both ends. Leaving roughly 30cm (12") between modules lets those leads meet and route along the rail without being pulled tight or looped up where they can snag. It also spaces the light evenly instead of bunching it.
Do I need every wire connected?
Three are required: green (+), blue (−) and brown (accessory). The brown lead is the kit's power gate — it ties into your accessory circuit so the lights come alive with the key and go fully dead when you pull it, and nothing turns on without it. The four signal wires — black (left turn), yellow (right turn), red (brake) and white (reverse) — are each optional. Leave one unconnected and that function simply won't trigger; the lights and all 256 modes still work.
